But Victoria is not considering automatically moving those who test positive into hospitals, as Queensland is doing, Mr Weimar said.
“We’ve got two dedicated health hotels within that framework so anybody who goes positive in any part of the Victorian system goes into dedicated health hotels. We’ve got fully established medical teams to support those individuals in those locations,” Mr Weimar told ABC Melbourne radio.
“Clearly, if they become far more complex cases, then we will consider moving them into a hospital, but the whole design of our quarantine system is to contain the virus within the quarantine system.”
More to come.
