A massive fire at an over-55s apartment village in Sydney’s south-west has firefighters searching for two residents after the roof collapsed.
About 30 residents, including elderly and disabled people, were evacuated by emergency services from the two-storey building after an emergency call came in just before midday.

Fire and Rescue NSW said there were no injuries reported so far but they were searching for people who might be in the “quite unstable” building.
There is a possibility that two residents may be trapped by rubble and debris on the top floor but firefighters say debris was at hip height.
