Investigators are now working to find the driver of the car, in a bid to establish the circumstances that led to the crash.
“Police are making inquiries into the owner and/or driver of the vehicle. This is an ongoing investigation,” a police spokeswoman said.
Christmas was an eventful day on WA roads.
In Beechboro, a 60-year-old woman was taken to Midland Hospital for treatment after a hit and run incident, where a silver ute believed to be a Mazda Bravo collided with her Nissan X-Trail.
In Mount Lawley, a woman was charged with a string of offences, including driving under the influence and having no authority to drive, after she was spotted driving recklessly in a Holden Barina along Walcott Street early on Christmas morning.
