A deputy principal at a high school in Sydney’s north-west has been charged with online child exploitation offences after allegedly attempting to lure a 14-year-old girl for sex.
Earlier this month, police detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crime Squad’s Child Exploitation Internet Unit began engaging online with a man from the Hills District.
Police allege the man believed he was speaking with a 14-year-old girl and engaged in sexually explicit conversations about acts he wanted to perform on the child.
The man also allegedly made arrangements to meet and pay the girl for sex.
Following extensive investigations, Strike Force Trawler detectives arrested the 47-year-old man at Westmead about 4.30pm on Monday.
