Detectives said they had already completed searches at several other properties in relation to the 43-year-old’s disappearance.

Police appealed for information about her disappearance last month before revealing they believe the mother of four was murdered on the day she was last seen.

Detectives from the missing persons squad and forensic officers returned to Ballarat earlier this month and executed a search warrant at a property in Hickman Street.

Detective Inspector Andrew Stamper said they were getting “very close” to finding those responsible for Ms Parfitt’s death.

“The investigation has led us to determine that Kobie was last seen alive at a property on Hickman Street on April 28, and we believe she was murdered the same day,” he said.

“We have returned to the area a number of times already and will continue to do so every time we receive new information.”

He said there were people in the community who knew what happened to Ms Parfitt and urged them to come forward.

“We are continuing to receive a significant amount of information and it’s a matter of time before those responsible for her death are arrested,” he said.

“Our investigators are sifting through every piece of information and I would like to thank the public for their continued response to our appeals for information and urge anyone else with information to come forward.”

Detective Inspector Stamper said there had been no activity on Ms Parfitt’s phone or bank accounts since her disappearance.

He said Ms Parfitt had lived at the Hickman Street residence on and off for some time.

She had been estranged from her family and last saw her mother in March.

Earlier this month, Ms Parfitt’s mother, Kathy Snowball, pleaded for anyone with information about her daughter’s disappearance to come forward.

“We all need to know where she is and we need to bring her home. Please stop this nightmare we are living,” she said.

Anyone with information regarding Ms Parfitt’s death is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at
